Declaring or checking a Bulgarian property has been declared in The Municipality of Popovo - free of charge!!!

According to the provisions of the Bulgarian legislation in connection with the acquisition of a property, the new owner / individual or legal person of the acquired  property must declare the new ownership of a property in the local municipality.

The law set a deadline for this - up to 2 months from the date of the document for  purchase / notary deed, contract of partition, etc..

If the deadline for declaring has been missed the local municipality administration will serve you a penal  provision.

The penal provision is in the form of a monetary fine. The amount of the penal provision is different in different municipalities. It is determined in a  meeting of the municipal council of the municipality.

Declaring or checking if your property was declared in a different Municipality from Popovo there will be an additional charge to fuel and time.
